Julia Grandperret

Les images de Julia Grandperret, sont instinctives et intimes. Elles s’intéressent aux beautés fugaces en portant une attention particulière au sujet – souvent féminin – et l’histoire transmise par un regard, un mouvement, un corps. Ses couleurs acidulées et ses poses maniérées composent une esthétique soft-pop marquée par la culture mainstream des années 2000.

En parallèle de ses études de droit, elle commence à photographier et réaliser des clips en collaboration avec des artistes, tels que Juniore, Laura Cahen, puis plus tard avec Mauvais Oeil et Shiv.

Durant son deuxième cursus à l’École de l’Image Gobelins, Julia Grandperret effectue plusieurs séries photographiques, parfois plasticiennes, parfois documentaires en collaboration avec le Women Safe Institute ayant toujours comme pierre angulaire les femmes et leur représentation.

Son approche de la photographie oscille avec agilité entre une photographie plasticienne et une teinte documentaire résolument humaine.

Julia’s images are instinctive and intimate. They are focus in fleeting beauties, paying particular attention to the subject – often feminine – and the story shared by a look, a movement, a body. His acid colors and mannered poses compose a soft-pop aesthetic marked by the mainstream culture of the 2000s.

While she was studying law, she began to photograph and produce clips in collaboration with artists such as Juniore, Laura Cahen, then later with Mauvais Oeil and Shiv.

During her second course at the Gobelins School of Image, Julia Grandperret produced several photographic series, sometimes visual, sometimes documentary, in collaboration with the Women Safe Institute, always having women and their representation as a cornerstone.

Her approach to photography move with agility between plastic photography and a resolutely human documentary touch.
